Vogue put together a selection of veils from names such as Erdem, Maison Michel and Jennifer Behr. The starting point is familiar: friends about to marry leave the veil to the last minute and search for one online in a hurry.
The head stylist of a wedding platform explains that most of the brides she works with think about the veil last, yet right after family heirloom jewellery it is still the most requested piece. Even brides who dress unconventionally can find a veil to match.
The selection spans a wide range: long tulle veils, silk models embroidered with flowers, short and playful voilettes. On the same season’s bridal runways, mantilla-style veils with lace edging also stood out.
If the veil is the final touch on the bride’s head, her party’s can be a scarf in the hair. A patterned scarf in the same tone as the bride’s veil ties the party to her look without competing with it.
