The clearest message from New York Bridal Fashion Week, where the Spring-Summer 2027 bridal collections were shown: veils, scarves and the layers worn over the dress are now at the centre of the look.
Monique Lhuillier showed butterfly-cut veils and mantilla-style veils with lace edging. Honor stayed more playful with ribbons, tulle and pink details. The overall mood of the week was nostalgic yet editorial romance that never looks like a costume.
If the bride’s accessory steps forward, so does her party’s. A scarf in the same pattern, in the hair, at the neck or on the bouquet stems, carries the dress’s idea of “layering” to the rest of the party.
