“Bride’s survival kit” is a slightly dramatic name. It means the make-up, touch-up and first-aid items packed into a bag the evening before the wedding. The aim isn’t survival but an easy day.
After watching hundreds of bride videos, the author says she realised one thing: this bag should ease worries, not add to them. She split her list accordingly: the night before, the wedding day, the make-up bag, the fashion bag, pharmacy and hygiene, and the day after.
A wedding day goes by very fast. Solving small mishaps in advance leaves more room for the day itself.
This bag is usually in the bridesmaid’s hands. A spare scarf belongs on the list: it hides a broken strap, gathers loose hair and covers the shoulders in the evening chill. And after the wedding it stays with the bridesmaid as a keepsake.
