Beatrice Ferrari, a press officer at Dior in London, and Jacob Bearman married at the Convento dell’Annunciata in Medole, near Lake Garda, a 15th-century house set in an ancient forest. There were 85 guests, most of them travelling from the UK.
The venue set the colours. Beatrice says they chose burgundy, brown and warm terracotta by looking at the convent’s gardens; everything was meant to suit the architecture, the flowers and the surroundings.
The dress was a minimal design by The Own Studio, with thin straps and a pointed waist. For her shoes Beatrice wanted to carry the wedding colours and chose caramel satin pumps by Amina Muaddi. She wore her mother’s leaf-shaped gold earrings and a pearl and cameo bracelet that belonged to her late grandmother. The groom’s tie was striped in burgundy too.
If the palette comes from the place, the party’s scarf can come from there too. The burgundy of the garden, the terracotta of the walls and the caramel of the shoes meet in one pattern, and the bridal party looks like part of the place in the photos.
